A Peaceful Haven Off The Beaten Track
Dartmoor Forest Lodge is located down a private forest track and offers a tranquil getaway in a stunning location in Lydford Forest, with views across to The Dartmoor National Park, Devon.
The Lodge offers luxury accommodation for up to 4 adults with two bedrooms and two bathrooms - minimum 3 night stay. (sorry, no children, no pets)
All amenities can be found in either Tavistock, only 15 minutes away, with it's indoor Pannier Market and individual shops or Okehampton only 25 minutes in the car, where the train runs to Exeter every hour.
Lydford itself can boast an award winning Farm Shop as well as The Castle Inn pub and the Dartmoor Inn restaurant where you can find excellent local food on the menu.
This area is truly spoilt for places to visit, starting with The National Trust Lydford Gorge across the valley, Cotehele House, Buckland Abbey, the list goes on. We are centrally located so Exmoor and the North Coast are well within reach as well as the South Coast and it is easy to take A30 and explore the coastline and all that Cornwall has to offer. Dartmoor National Park is on our doorstep with the ponies and livestock as well as being able to explore the villages and pubs dotted around.
The owners, Bernard and Kim, who live on site, are very happy to share their small piece of paradise with their guests.

The village of Lydford lies 2 miles from the Lodge, where you will find two gastro pubs and an award-winning Farm Shop. The market town of Tavistock is only a 15 minute drive away.
For those who appreciate the great outdoors, the vast expanse of Dartmoor National Park is just across the valley, and Lydford Gorge and Forest are on the doorstep.

Step outside to your private outdoor space on the terrace where you can sit at the table and enjoy a glass of wine while watching the sun go down.
There is ample parking for two cars in front of the Lodge and only a few steps away, through the gate, will lead you directly into the Forest.

The kitchen comes with a gas hob/electric oven and a large fridge/freezer. There is also a wine cooler, a dish washer and a washer/drier.
There is a breakfast bar and also a dining table that seats 4 comfortably.
Bedrooms & Living Area
Home from Home
Designed to be lived in all year round, this centrally-heated Lodge which can be enhanced by the wood-burner in the colder months, provides a comfortable and sociable living space.
The main bedroom has a king-sized bed and its own en-suite with a large, walk-in shower. The second bedroom can be used as a twin or a double bedroom and there is a house bathroom next door with a full-sized bath and shower above.
